If you’re a regular coffee drinker, you might be wondering whether cannabidiol (CBD) might react badly with coffee. The short answer to this question is that at this point we don’t know.
So far, there has been no research specifically focusing on how CBD and caffeine react with each other. And although there are a number of CBD coffees on the market, the FDA doesn’t allow the production and marketing of CBD food products as well as the addition of CBD to a food product. And coffee is considered a food by the FDA.
However, there is data that suggests that the consumption of oral CBD capsules following a breakfast including coffee may not lead to side effects.
